Are you planning to continue to increase to the dose range Andy recommends of 1/8-1/2 mg/lb and continue to chelate? You will need to include ALA at a low dose and increase with time, continue to chelate in order to get metals out of your brain and organs. I'm so pleased to hear that you have had such great progress. I remember some of your early posts. The current hair test does not meet the counting rules, and looks more normal than his first test, which is what should be expected with chelation and supplementation and diet changes, etc.---------Jackie > Test shows glucose intolerance and blood sugar regulation problems. > What does this mean? Have you ever had your blood sugar tested?-----Jackie Keep up with the diet that you are using for now and include chromium picolinate with meals. >Is this an adrenal issue? ----------Low blood sugar is often an adrenal issue, but not sure if your problem is high or low?----------Jackie > It is for some people, but there are other factors as well. Search onibasu.com or read HTI for Andy's comments on these two supplements, so as not to supplement at too high a dose. ---------Yes, Cutler recommends supplementing lithium when it is low red. He says to be careful with manganese, as not everyone needs it. He covers these in HTI, or search posts for these supps.---------Jackie > Hair test for Sunshine - tested 18/8/2008 > > 1) What are your current symptoms and health history? > No major symptoms anymore. Have you ever had your blood sugar tested?-----Jackie -.-.-.-.-.-.- yes, i had it tested about 8 months ago, but a lot has changed in that time. it was real low, doc was quite concerned, he said i was hypoglycemic and i was pre-diabetic but said there was nothing i could do about it anyway. I will not be seeing that doctor again in any case. .-.-.-.-.-.-Sunshine > Keep up with the diet that you are using for now and include chromium > picolinate with meals. ..-.-.-.-.-.-.thks > > >Is this an adrenal issue? > > ----------Low blood sugar is often an adrenal issue, but not sure if your problem is high or low?----------Jackie > > > > > It is for some people, but there are other factors as well. Cutler does say that many people make the mistake of stopping too soon. Keep on chelating!!!----------Jackie ..-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-yes, I plan on continuing to chelate. never again do i want to go through what happened to me in 2007. I'm in this for the long haul to ensure my life does not fall apart ever again. It is difficult to motivate myself to chelate because it does make me feel worse, but reading the repeated stories of the mercury coming back to bite people is enough motivation for me. I just have to think back to how bad i got last year to motivate me to get all the mercury out. > Is vit E missing? Do you have a source of omega 3 oil? What about > vit D? You could have a test for 25(OH)vit D and see where your > levels are at. The yahoo best bet diet group has a system for getting > the test in the UK. ..-.-.-.-.-.-.- I stopped dosing Vit E a while ago, but i just re-read HTI and i will restart it as it should make chelation easier. Ditto Vit D but i will probably not restart that. Omega 3 oils will have to come from my diet as i had big problems with rancid oils as i cannot tell when they are rancid or not. Was a real problem and took a longtime to figure out. At one point i was supplementing 4 oils a day and they where all newly bought and kept in the fridge and all 4 of the different oils where rancid. Life will have to proceed without supplementing them as this it not a trap i want to fall in again. > > > 7) Other information you feel may be relevant? > > All my major symptoms and chronic pain have gone....Hooray! > > Good for you. Are you planning to continue to > increase to the dose range Andy recommends of 1/8-1/2 mg/lb and > continue to chelate? ..-.-.-.-.-.-.-2 weeks ago i did increase the dose from 5mg DMSA to 6mg dmsa. I struggled through 1 day before I had to stop the round early and then spent 2 days with brain fog. 5mg is my top whack at the moment. I am gonna reduce the dose to 4mg's in attempt to get zero symptoms so i can chelate every weekend. 5mg's is fine but i need to wait two weeks inbetween rounds before i get back to my best. > > You will need to include ALA at a low dose and increase with time, > continue to chelate in order to get metals out of your brain and organs. ..-.-.-.-.-.-.- yes, that is the next step. I plan testing ALA at 4mg and using the same timing as i'm already at. It is ordered from Dean and should be with me soon. > > I'm so pleased to hear that you have had such great progress. I > remember some of your early posts. -.-.-.-.-.-.-.- Yeah, it was a fairly bumpy ride to start with, but all the hard work has paid of handsomely. Being able to exercise and work out again is helping big time too. Thx both of you for checking my hair test. Thx a million;-) Sunshine

So that is a better test for you to pursue DeanSA

What part of me is not functioning correctly and > what can I do about it? Is this an adrenal issue? Andy has suggested chromium, vanadium, and bilberry to help with blood sugar regulation, along with low glycemic diet. Adrenal function is only one factor that contributes, but it is an important one, so make sure your adrenal support is optimal. Have you done a saliva test while on your current regimen? Also be sure you are not over-treating or under-treating thyroid. You might want to consider your taurine intake. Taurine seems to lower my blood sugar Sticking with low sulfur diet may also help with blood sugar management. --
