Okay...I took both; EQ is 37 (average but lower than women are supposed to be)...SQ is 17 (way low for anyone). Apparently I stink at life in general? Not at all Raena. I suspect that Gail's score would be in that range for SQ. It just means that you do not order and categorize as often or as typically as others do, but I suspect, that like Gail you have innovative, creative, and unusual abilites to make novel connections and solutions for problem solving. They are just different ways of thinking is all.

Guest guest
> You can be fairly cynical, i.e., have low expectations of your fellow man, based on experience, but still be quite empathetic. > That describes me very well. I'm very cynical but I'm also very empathetic. I trust people...I trust them to make mistakes. I trust them to screw up royally, be a pain in the butt and be incredibly self-centered at times. Gee...weaknesses I share. It rather like the way you feel when your child is upset because something didn't go their way and they're pitching a fit because of it. You can feel empathy for them that they're disappointed, but you recognize that the behavior is inappropriate so you have to correct the behavior instead of giving them the hug you might have wanted to give them instead. Of course the " hug " concept is thrown out the window with some of our kids. not all of them want to be touched. Tina
