Guest guest
Thanks - I haven't read it for awhile but maybe I need to review and reconsider. I have read many times how you shouldn't rely on blood tests. Yet I believed that after being on ST3 for 6mos should have had some effect on my temps ( & other symptoms), but they remain consistently low (95-96ish). My adrenals are in really bad shape too, so I began to think that I was barking up the wrong tree with thyroid issues. My doctor felt that if I didn't feel any different " off " thyroid meds, then my thyroid isn't the problem. Its so hard to figure out what's what with so many overlapping problems! > > > > Sorry for lack of clarity. Am looking for input about whether to > > try 's protocol, up my dosage or do nothing. Guest guest
AI says to treat adrenals first, I seem to remember you were having trouble getting HC weren't you. I only treated thyroid after 8-9 months on AI supps (and 6 months on HC and 6 months post chelation) how far up in does did you go with the T3 on the wilson protocol It tokk me almost a month or more to capture my temp the first time and its kinda a confusing process if your mind is messed up like mine was/is I think I had to go into the 90-95 mcgs of T3 for it to work the first time and then coming down i had to stop the decrease and increase a few more times..to capture the temps Did you feel worse doing the T3...the other thing to keep in mind is that wilson says on his site that there are maybe 10-15% of people with thryoid problems that his treatment does not work for...so it just may be the time in your chelation that is effecting you or your low adrenals I know its a lot and a conundrum as to what to treat first, but AI says adrenals must be operating better before attempting thyroid if your temps are this low then i would guess that thryoid is a problem but one you will have to deal with later..In the interiom you may wnat to just take selenomethioine at doses per AI ( see pages 134, 138, 162) I don't believe AI mentions that selenomethionine is helpful for thyroid but I believe Jackie indicated that Julei anderson suggests it for thyroid and it is part of the wilson protocol supps for thyroid. Its maybe a little more passive help for thryoid than T3 AI suggests it for rendering mercury inert (I guess it buys you some time until you can chelate the mercury)... This is supposed to help with thryoid and also Good luck keep the faith > > JOY, please see www.wtsmed.com, its wilson temperature syndrome > > protocol, I believe he (DR ) says on this site that thyroid > > measurements by blood i presume are very unreliable as they do > > not measure cellular levels of T3 (I think he says this but may > > be mistaken as i have severe head fog right now) > > > > he says temps are the only way to measure thyroid and then treat > > with synthetic T3 i belive it is and his nutrient supps (selenium > > is one part of his herbal concoction) > > > >

I have taken some supps to support my thyroid, but I'm not on any thyroid hormone. Unfortunately, I haven't tracked my temps much, but I believe I used to be in the 97's alot, and now I seem to be in the low 98's, and I just took my temp right now, and it was normal, 98.6! And this does make sense, as I do feel pretty good today. So I do believe that adrenals play a big part in this also.----------Jackie if your temps are this low then i would guess that thryoid is a problem but one you will have to deal with later..In the interiom you may wnat to just take selenomethioine at doses per AI ( see pages 134, 138, 162) ----------I haven't been able to keep up with posts and follow this whole thread, but I believe it is the Dr. Rind website that talks about symptoms and temperatures being a mixture of adrenals and thyroid. If I remember right, steady but low, means thyroid only, fluctuating means adrenal, and fluctuating and low means both. So you might want to check that out. I think it's www.drrind.com --------------Jackie I don't believe AI mentions that selenomethionine is helpful for thyroid but I believe Jackie indicated that Julei anderson suggests it for thyroid and it is part of the wilson protocol supps for thyroid. Its maybe a little more passive help for thryoid than T3 ----------Dopey doctor #2 was the first one to tell me that selenium helps the body convert T4 into T3, so I was already taking it when I went to see , and she confirmed this, and told me to continue taking it. So yes it can help, but probably isn't enough in alot/some cases.-----------Jackie AI suggests it for rendering mercury inert (I guess it buys you some time until you can chelate the mercury)...
