Guest guest
Just talked to my pulmodudette, she says she thinks I probably have bronchitis, is very glad am seeing my reg doctor. Its funny she is on the 3rd floor of the medical building and he is on the 2nd floor. My general surgeon is on the first floor and my oncologist and cardiologis are in the building across the street. Do like to keep them all in one bunch don't I. > > Pulmodudette is overbooked, have appt with my regular Doctor (who I love and trust) at 3pm. Can't get warm today, temp won't go over 97.7..drove to work in 99 degree temp with the windows down, no a/c and never broke a sweat, why do I always end up with such weird sypmtoms...LOL > > Dyane Phoenix IPF 02 >
Guest guest
Update..as I was coming out of the elevator, my lung doc was coming out of the washroom, she stopped and gave me a hug, said you are very very warm, glad you are here to see Dr. since I could not get in to see her. 10 minutes later when they take my temp its 98.2. Something is really weird. No antibiotics since Dr. has no clue whats going on orderd chest xray and blood work. Went across the street to get bloodwork and xray and frakkin LabCorp is closed at 4 pm, I get on the phone and find out they ALL close at 4 pm and the LabCorp person when asked what I was supposed to do since I was sick and needed bloodwork now..Go to the ER...After I stopped banging my head on the wall, got my xray and came home, will get bloodwork tomorrow and start my letter writing campaign to get Humana to fire LabCorp. I give upDyane> >> > Pulmodudette is overbooked, have appt with my regular Doctor (who I love and trust) at 3pm. Guest guest
Dyane Are there not urgent care facilities in your area? I ask because for so many in my area thats where you go late in the day or night or weekends and most do have their own labs. Now my primary's practice also has it's own lab but by no means as quick as the urgent care centers. They are taking some of the sick patients and small injuries away from ER. > > > > > > Pulmodudette is overbooked, have appt with my regular Doctor (who I > love and trust) at 3pm. Guest guest
Bruce, ya know I never even thought of urgent care for a blood test. I was just so frustrated with LabCorp and of course feeling like crap, that I never thought to ask. LabCorp is just that, they and Sonora Quest are the two main lab groups in Metro Phoenix. Thats all they do. It just seems so illogical (I know there I go again with the logic thing) to close at 4pm. and I admit I'm a little frightened, I just keep remembering Lou saying she felt weird just before she went downhill. Thanks for reminding me about urgent care, I'll try to remember that next time.
