seltzer would neutralize the stomach acid (Betaine). But it should be fine to

take them apart. So take the Betaine with your meals, and take the alka seltzer

And.. when I take betaine, I usually get acid, pain in upper stomach. Maybe I

do not need it?

---------That is one possibility. But if I remember right, your hair test

showed the all low pattern, usually meaning poor absorption/digestion, which

usually means low stomach acid. It may be that your stomach lining is so weak,

that it can't tolerate the extra stomach acid right now. I remember

posting about this, that she had to start with a small dose of it, and slowly

build her dose up. So this might be your case, and I would try that first,

before giving up on the Betaine all together. You can use onibasu and search
