Guest guest
Why Thank you, Bruce... I do express my frustration and I hope that I eventually over come them. I LOVE my medically supervised exercises! I just love going and would go every day if I could but alas I cannot. I have Aquafit 2 times a week and I have a class in weight lifting and then I go to Pendleton Center for MS exercise... I try to walk my dogs every day too. If exercising is good for you lungs then my lungs should be getting better and better! LOL I want to be able to do as much as I can and if you just sit around eventually you just can't do anything. I may be getting 2 magnificent Great Danes soon on top of my 5 small dogs and they all need a walk...I don't walk far...I cannot walk far but I do walk. Each and ever morning at 8 am I go for a walk as far as I can go and return. My dogs love it and it is good for me to get out in the sun and move. It gets me going. If I don't do it I find myself kind of in the doldrums. Sunlight and walking the dogs makes me feel energetic and happy! Oh, I come in and get a drink and rest but I do it religiously! I refuse to cripple myself because I don't move. Thank you for the compliment. Joyce Rudy AZ birds Re: Medically supervised exercise JoyceOk, I'm laughing right now but not at you, with you. I've followed yousince the day you joined us. You get frustrated, express it, but youlisten and fight and go forward and you make me so happy when you do.You were so lost at first like most of us but now you give good adviceto others and you're a great example to others coming along. You didwhat it took to get to the best doctors. We yelled about rehab and youfound the best and closest thing you could in your area. Now, I knowyou'll take it seriously and benefit from it. We don't make our lungssuddenly well or even better in some senses. But what we do in rehab isimprove our ability to get everything out of them they have. Sometimes Ifind myself walking and feeling more exhausted than on the treadmill andI realize its because I'm not breathing the same. Few people use alltheir lungs have. Thats what aerobic and breathing exercises help us todo. Furthermore, they help us strengthen the rest of our body. Musclesstore oxygen and use it. If we strengthen them then they don't pull asdramatically from our lungs as we walk or do simple tasks. Also, sittingaround we tend to let all the rest of our body weaken. Exercise keepsthat from happening. I never thought I'd miss exercise but a couple oftimes when my rheumatologist has banned me for five days to do tests,I've really felt the difference and wanted to get back to it.> >> > I just had my first visit to the Pendelton Center which hasmedically> supervised exercises.
