Basically, I think he feels it is ok to take, but it is not a chelator, as it stays in the digestive tract and is not absorbed into the bloodstream. So it is not effective for chelation, but could possibly work like activated charcoal in mopping up something in the gut, and helping with gut dysbiosis is probably where any reported benefits come from.
