Guest guest
A few weeks ago, I woke with pain in my knee. I didn't remember doing anything to cause pain. Also, it was a different type of pain. Unlike the usual rheumatoid or fibromyalgia pain. I saw my primary a few days later. He said it could be that I strained the ligament. When the pain hadn't gone 2 weeks later, I saw my primary again. He sent me to an orthopedist. He said there's this thing called Aseptic necrosis. It's when the bone stops getting blood and basically dies. It's common in women in their 50's that have been on Prednisone in large amounts or for a long time. It happens in hips, knees and shoulders. Now, they're sending my for an MRI to decide how to treat this. I knew I hated prednisone. Now, I have a new reason. Has anyone else had this problem after being on Prednisone? Nan 49, MA list started '82 PF '08 Asthma, Aseptic necrosis '
