Guest guest
Maybe I should keep Evan home from school and out of public places for the rest of his life....or at least until he learns to pronounce certain words better??? He loves the Tank Engine. For Easter he got some new trains and one of them was Percy and he has now become slightly obsessed with Percy....always playing with Percy and together now instead of just . Well, he doesn't exactly pronounce Percy correctly and I really don't think I have to explain to you how he says it 'cause I know you all have imaginations just like mine....LOL. Anyway, he was playing with the other day and I asked him where Percy was. So he goes and gets Percy. So, keeping in mind that when he says Percy, it sounds like something entirely different (since he doesn't pronounce the " r " ), here is our conversation: Mommy: Evan - where is Percy? Evan: Where is Percy? Mommy: You have to find him. Where is he? Evan (after finding Percy): Oh Percy!! I love Percy!! Now, can you just see him telling his teacher about how much he loves Percy or saying something like that in the supermarket?? Debbie (who is waiting for DFACS to knock on the door at any minute to find out how her 4.5 y/o son already knows about " Percy " )

Guest guest
Hee hee hee. You know, when I first moved north, I was an English tutor for two Cantonese gentlemen. When I tried to teach them the word " purse " , it came out sounding like " pussy " . They just couldn't get it right. So we decided they should just use the word 'handbag'.
