After everyone is in bed, I paint my wood pieces, I play playstation (very rewarding when it's an ongoing rpg), I watch rented videos. If it's and me with Marc at work, I take to Mc's playplace and read the newspaper while he climbs. I take him to the library and let him loose in the kids' room while I look for books right outside it. I make LIBERAL use of my flat-rate long distance plan, and phone people who make me laugh while I totally ignore . When was the twins' age, I used to take a bath with him. It destressed both of us. Would the three of you fit in the tub? If not, stick them in the tub and sit just outside the open door and read a book. I always do my hair and put on makeup. this makes a huge difference. Guest guest
So sorry your plans got cancelled :-( I would be very upset too. Why not try painting on your own when the kids are napping? I either play mindless games on the computer or do word games to make my mind work. If I have something that needs redone, I actually find painting a room theraputic, but that includes creating designs on the walls, etc.. Jaquie had a good list, although she has yet to call me on her flat rate plan! ;-) Sue
Guest guest
Why doesn't he give you the day off anyway? Go somewhere -- have lunch, shop (window shop even) or spend a day at the library anyway. I could get lost in the library myself. Guest guest
Read books and email, write, play games. Writing is probably my biggest stress reliever. Salli
Guest guest
Aw Debbie - I'm sorry :-( Do you have a 's or craft store of some sort? What about a Home Debot or other warehouse type store? They always have some sort of art type classes.... Just a thought. {{{Debbie}}} Penny Totally bumming Well I just got a call from the local library ... I had signed up for an all day watercolor workshop this Saturday ... it's cancelled due to lack of interest. <sighs> Apparently only I and 2 other people were interested and that didn't meet the minimum requirement. Guest guest
I do small things....like going to the health club for two hours (work out then sit in the sauna...hmmmmmmm) or go tanning or get my nails done. I can steal a couple of hours here and there easier than I can a whole day. I hope you get some time off soon.
