Guest guest
" Vaginia Inn > 18 miles. " It was actually " Virginia Inn 18 miles. " LOL Responding to my own post. " Vagina Inn " is what he said. He can't read and I can't type. Leggs
Guest guest
Nope, , not an English teacher, a first grade reading teacher. Kinda explains how I know all of these funky phonics rules, huh? Funny thing is that I learned to read by sight and so did my only child. No phonics here! Leggs
Guest guest
Oh I am sorry just once I saw all those rules, I pictured my 10th English teacher and everything went blank. I so love to read and I really hope will start to love to be read to. This is one of things that has bothered me the most. We started reading to my NT when he was a newborn in the NICU and by 10 months or so, he would go pick out the book he wanted. was a whole other story. Books were good for chewing on then to step on and to stack or throw but read....what are you crazy MOM?? Re: rowan reads... some more Nope, , not an English teacher, a first grade reading teacher. This works much of the time when there are two vowels in a one-syllable word. ai says A, a_e says A, ea says E, o_e says O, ie says I. Works in most one-syllable words. The pattern is called CVVC (consonant, vowel, vowel, consonant) or CVCe (consonant, vowel, consonant, silent e.) Generally, if a one syllable word only has one vowel, it is a short vowel sound like in cat, tin, dog, set, or jump. Of course, when you get into two syllable words like movie, then everything changes.Leggs I LOVE Rowan's ability to sound it out, " Sex movies " is even better than " Sex moves. " Don't you just love when they read aloud in public? Brandt was five when he read a highway sign as " Vaginia Inn 18 miles. " It was actually " Virginia Inn 18 miles. Guest guest
Heheheheheheeh! Jacquie H rowan reads... some more any tips on how to explain silent " e " here's a good one... rowan had a doc appt on friday. he picked up a redbook magazine with jacquie v's fave shania twain on the cover. rowan has a weakness for the ladies no doubt. he grins and flicks and flaps his fingers all over the cover. as he does so i notice one of the story titles 5 SEX MOVES ...He'll Love. i chuckle to myself thinking about his emerging reading skills. then you guessed it he begins to sound it out sss...eeee...kkkkss mmm...oooo..vvvv..eeeee...sss. then he puts it all together and begins to shout, for all to hear " SEX MOVIES! SEX MOVIES! " M.G.mum to Sebastian, 11 kinda quirky(NT) Rowan, 6 extra quirky (ASD) married to and living in Northern Ontario
