Another sleepless night in the Byk house...

Last week was Mikey's spring break, and we had relatives come to visit.

's anxiety level has been very high and he is doing things like

chewing his fingernails down to the quicks and having lots of tantrums over

things like wanting me to help him with something but not allowing me to

touch it, or him. You get the picture. Gabe had a nasty little stomach

virus with a fever of 104. He had 3 seizures with it, one with bodily

involvement which is new - it's just been staring and blinking before.

First seizures he's had in months...need to call the neuro. Need to

schedule 's yearly re-eval with the local autism guru, too...that was

actually in January but I wanted it to be more recent for his IEP in the

fall.

So anyway, with all of this, the boys are of course not sleeping. Gabe has

stepped down from Superglue Baby to Velcro Child -- removable with some

effort ;) -- but he simply will not settle for Matt at night. This will be

fun when the baby is born! So, since I am already up with one when the

other wakes...*sigh* Matt's helping where he can...in fact he picked up the

living room, dining room, and kitchen today, and vacuumed. He even put some

laundry away. <gasp> <choke> I like him ever so much better when he takes

his zoloft....But, I would much prefer to sleep through the night and clean

the house myself. :P

Well I do believe the second clonidine has kicked in and Mr. is

asleep. I had best go and rest while I can as surely someone will be up at

4am. Something about that 4 on the clock seems to attract my children, as

moths to a flame...I wonder if I got up at 3, and set the clock ahead to

5......

-Sara.

Wife to Matt

SAHM to (3.5, autism)

Gabe (23 mos, speech delay)

and 'Punkin' due anytime now!

Ugh, sounds like you've really had your hands full. However, you may find,

as I did, that when " pumpkin " comes, newbornes are a breeze compared to

auties : )
