Guest guest
I was diagnosed in March 2005 with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. My pulmonologist and PCP have confirmed, after doing the same blood tests 3 times, that I'm positive for P-ANCA. ANCA - Vasculitis - is inflammation to the blood vessels. My doctor told me yesterday that he thinks the vasculitis is the cause of my pulmonary fibrosis. I am going to be referred to as rheumatologist to try to determine what drug I can take. Since I have AIDS, I can't take anything that will compromise my immune system. Has anyone heard of this disease? Thanks,
Guest guest
Yes , it's one of the bunch of Autoimmune Diseases that keeps cropping up when I search for what could be underlying what's going on for me. You're fortunate that your blood tests have given a specific response. Good luck with it all....good to hear that your medicos are on the ball with knowing what drugs are contra-indicated for your AIDS condition. in Oz (GIO) IPF:Fibrotic NSIP/UIP May 2007 Raynaud's Phenomenon May 2007 Ro52 + Antibody May 2008 SSNHL July 2008>> I was diagnosed in March 2005 with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
