Guest guest
Hello everyone, I stopped getting messages (went on Daily Digest and didn't read it) a while back and have decided I need a little more support and understanding. It's so hard to find that anywhere else like it is here. We are doing fine, all of us for the most part. Just a reminder of who me and my family are: I am Katrina, a Service Coordinator for First Steps of Indiana and I am married (five years in August!) and have two little boys, ages four and three. My four year old, Bobby, was born with a rare disease that has caused him to lose some of his vision. This same disease has actually been linked to autism, although not formally. At this point I actually have the official copy of the " official report " on Bobby that lists Autistic Disorder as the top diagnosis, followed by his rare disease, and then so forth with his Siezure disorder, etc... I took a bit of time away from this and most of my other groups because I was beyond stressed. I've now been tentatively diagnosed as bipolar?, DID?, and seeverely depressed. Like they had to tell me about the last one@! In a nutshell tey are unsure of my specific diagnosis, but are leaning towards the above. I am on medicing (lots of it) everyday (when I remember to take it) including prozac and Depakote. I started having panic attacks before I went looney tunes and so I also have Zanax for that - which I love. So if you don't remember me you just got a crash course. I can't wait to jump right in - Lord knows I need it! Thanks and happy emailing! Katrina
Guest guest
Hi Katrina! Welcome back! Glad to see you're getting some help for yourself. It's kind of hard to care for kids like ours when we aren't functioning that well ourselves, isn't it! I'm sure you remember that a lot of us here are being treated for at least depression, and we now have several who are bi-polar. What is DID? That abbreviation is new to me. I have one with compartments for morning and evening, and if I forget to fill it I NEVER remember to take my meds! Best $2.99 I ever spent. :-) Jacquie

Guest guest
Katrina I don't think there is a single one of us that has not had days when we've wondered is this what it's like to go crazy? Or is this the day when I just can't take it anymore. This is the only place that you can say just what you want and know that even if everyone doesn't agree they will understand. The ups the downs and everything in between. Hugs
