Guest guest
I had lip biopsy last summer (week before July 4). Not to give yet another horror story, but was awful!! They put me to sleep for the procedure and I was pretty zonked out for about an hour after that. Then OMG the pain was unbearable!! I had Lorcet for pain for my chronic back pain so took those to get by. (The doc who did the procedure didn't offer me anything at all for pain). By day #2, I totally looked like somebody had beat the livin crap out of me!! My lip was humongous and the whole right side of my face was swollen. I couldn't eat for a week and unfortunately, my biopsy came back positive. Sjogren's is a real booger to live with. Sometimes my eyes are so dry I can barely stand it. They itch and burn and I have to use eyedrops on a daily basis. The worst part is that you can't produce saliva and it makes it really difficult to swallow most times. Some things, especially dry foods like breads, forget it.. Can't swallow them at all. Sometimes even have problems eating meats like chicken and steak. It really sucks BUT after getting the other 3 autoimmune diseases I now have, as well, I wish that was all I had with the UIP!! Of course he wants every part of my body biopsied. However, thatis called an autopsy and I'm going to wait until I'm dead for that.> > >> > > Is Sjogren's something that should have been picked up in aconnective> > tissue screen?> > >> > > Mike> > >> >>
