Guest guest
I would like to thank all the teachers and staff at 's school for making the first 2 weeks so easy for both him and I. They have been so caring and ready to answer all my questions. They really act like they care about . Since it is a one on one program and a rotation of teachers, there is many teachers and staff so I was thinking of taking in pastries when I go at lunch to pick up or fruit or a combo or any other suggestions. Do you think this would be ok? I don't know if it is inappropriate or insulting to the professionals. I worked in Corp America for years and even the highest paid managers loved free food but since Corp America is its own animal.... What are your thoughts? Guest guest
What an awesome idea ! I say do it! I bring gifts to Jordan's preschool teachers & therapists for every holiday. For Easter I did chocolate, for Christmas I did antibacterial hand lotion, my autism support group made huge baskets of candy for each school for April (Autism Awareness Month). I have to come up with something nice for teacher awareness week still. My friend brings food to every IEP meeting ... bagels, cream cheese, & donuts in the mornings, cookies & brownies in the afternoons. I plan to do the same when we meet for Jordan's IEP. I see nothing wrong with a gesture of thank you for the people who are helping you and your son. A little kindness & thoughtfulness goes a long way with people. " You catch more flies with honey than vinegar " comes to mind. Debbie with twins - Jordan (ASD) 2.5yo - (NT) 2.5yo

I will put some of them in too for folks who don't have a sweet tooth (I have heard of these people but never meet one LOL) and I will attach a thank-you card Thanks everyone!
