Guest guest
AB .... I'd suggest a tall cool drink, a comfy chair, prop your feet up and read or watch TV. Poo on guilt! I'm in PA which is experiencing high humidity. I have much to do but just don't feel like doing anything. What do folks do when feeling this way. I feel guilty because things have to get done but I just don't feel like doing anything. I'd appreciate any suggestions. AB
Guest guest
Hi, I often feel that way. Sometimes this is just impossible to do but it usually works when I do it. I pretend. I pretend I can do it. I go outside the house. I sit in the sun in my front yard and water my plants or just watch the cars go by. Just the sun seems to help me. Also I go someplace around people. Even if it is only going to the store and buying a loaf of bread it gets you o ut of the house and interacting with others-but then I am the type of person that will talk with people in line or the cashier....I have a counselor and when I get into a rut like that I write to her in email what needs to be done immediately and write her how I am going to do it. I also do only a little at a time. I had so many dishes in my sink it was over flowing onto the counters. I felt overwhelmed and though I KNEW it needed to be done I never did it so I started just rinsing one thing every time I went into the kitchen and put it in the dishwasher...it is amazing how you usually don't just do one dish but proceed to do all the dishes or most of them...but the silverware needs to be done and the pots and pans and you just do one. I break down what needs to be done to the simplest things. Sometimes if you look at the whole it can paralyze you...so just do one dish....as far as food goes...if you have on hand some black beans and some grated cheese and a corn tortilla...you can just put a tablespoon of beans and cheese and microwave it and it makes a perfectly healthy lunch....Yes, I have a very hard time with motivation and you have to kind of trick your brain. Sometimes though I just lie down and watch movies....and I have found out that usually that means my blood sugar is bad or my oxygen needs to go up. I don't know if this helps you but I do so understand how you feel. Luckily I don't have to deal with your humidity!
