Guest guest
I find that because when we chelate , things are under more stress.. So anything affecting brainfog would be where I would look to find extra supports to take. IN my case brainfog is worse with lack of hormone supports, and molybdenum helped as well for me.. Candida may also be a problem as that causes brain fog.. Even if my stomach is poor it affects this , so you do have to do some investigative research to pinpoint the culprit. It may only get worse during some chelations. I will all of a sudden have smoe depressive episodes and then I pull out the 5HTP and may only have to stay on it a month , then not have to for many more after that.. It is frustrating figuring it all out . But is is gettng easier to be a master of all of my symptoms.. Guest guest
Thanks, everyone, for your helpful replies. Since DMSA helps control the brain fog, to me this implies that it is an effect of mercury, rather than a side effect of ALA. Do others agree? Thanks again. I will try the DMSA with the ALA. > > > > > > > > When I do a chelation round, I find that my brain fog/spaciness > > > increases dramatically. Guest guest
Yeast had not occurred to me as a possible issue here. I will look into the yeast supps in the Files section, as you mentioned. Guest guest
Brainfog can be a real damper to one's enthusiasm. I too struggled with that for a long time and often. What does really help me is the following recipe from someone on the list , either Andy or ? Brain Fog Recipe 3/4 tsp of Anhydrous Citric Acid mixed with, 3/4 tsp of Sodium Bicarbonate (BP grade) with, 1/4 tsp of Potassium Bicarbonate (BP grade). Add 1/2 cup of water, wait for the excessive bubbling to pass ( eg 15 seconds) and drink. Hope this helps you too. kai -------------------------------------------------- Sent: Tuesday, September 23, 2008 6:38 PM To: <frequent-dose-chelation > Subject: Re: Brain fog / chelation question > Thanks, everyone, for your helpful replies. Guest guest
- > Just to make people aware that brainfog can be stomach upset based on too little acid, plus bad buggies. I get brain fog , and did at one point find bicarbs did help ease it.. I guess it calmed the stomach gas I had that built up. I have since learned that I have too little stomach gas so I no longer take the alkaline bicarbs , I take betaine hydrochloric acid with every meal . Plus sauerkraut now that it is particularly stressed. I find when I start to get dizzy, have brain fog, feel antisocial, have panic attacks, it is alot to do with stomach. I have learned to take time out , and make a point of burping. IMmediately I feel better. People usually have more problems with too little stomach acid , when they assume it is too much. I for years swore I had an ulcer , as I also had stomach pain. I finally followed someones advice on this forum and found great releif when taking the betaine HCl with every meal.. IT does get worse with chelation too I think.. THe sauerkraut, and kefir helps settle the stomach by keeping bad bacteria down, The best thing to do is try a trial of betaine hydrochloric acid. { betaine HCL} Start with one capsule, If that is not irritating , then up the dose to as much as you can tolerate without getting pain. I have been up to four capsules with heavier meals at my worse.. Andy says the amino acid taurine increases HCL release. I am just about to experiment with this. nanci Kai wrote .. > Brainfog can be a real damper to one's enthusiasm. > I too struggled with that for a long time and often. > What does really help me is the following recipe from someone on the list , > either Andy or ? > > Brain Fog Recipe > > 3/4 tsp of Anhydrous Citric Acid mixed with, > 3/4 tsp of Sodium Bicarbonate (BP grade) with, > 1/4 tsp of Potassium Bicarbonate (BP grade). > Add 1/2 cup of water, wait for the excessive bubbling to pass ( eg 15 > seconds) and drink. > > Hope this helps you too. > kai > >
