Guest guest
Yes, that is very likely a side effect of chelation with ALA. Being conscious about what is going on is of great help for me. If they are too annoying, you can just stop the round. I did it for that reason several times. Hope this may help, > > Hello, > I have been experiencing what seems to be an odd side effect of chelation. I've just finished > my third round with ALA. I'm normally a very easy-going person. Guest guest
Has anyone else experienced this, and does this sound like > an expected side effect of chelation? > Absolutely. I have found that this side effect has diminished greatly but still the odd round on day one I am miserable to live with, everything so to speak pisses me off---and I am usually very tolerant. I feel so angry, grumpy. For me is passes after the first day but prior it happened all the time, even off round. It will get better. Let your family know. Can I ask how long you've been chelating? Are you on any adrenal/thyroid support? Val
Guest guest
You could try shortening the time between doses.. I find that when I am feeling worse taking it sooner totally gets rid of the side affect.. Guest guest
HMMM. I have no direct experience, yet, with ALA. But lots of experience with anger, impulsivity, lability, fearfulness, anxiety. All of those psychological symptoms happen to me when Hg crosses the BBB into my brain, not out. Remember, ALA can transport Hg into the brain as well as out of the brain. If you have not adequately reduced soft tissue mercury you could be dumping more Hg into the brain. How long did you chelate with DMSA or DMPS? Did you try taking the ALA with one of those chelators? If so did you experience the same symptom? Doug
Guest guest
e, > > Can I ask how long you've been chelating? Still happens just no so much intensity or frequency. i am on TADS (165 mg 3x a day in divided doses)only for adrenals and of course all of the supplements. No Thyroid support. My last cortisol test (saliva- 4 pt) was two weeks ago and I did it while on support. My range is fine in the morning and plummets to just a hair over the low end of " normal " . They are worse than the first cortisol test I did 2 years ago. They are struggling. I recently started doing my rounds on a 3 and 11 timing instead of 3 and 4. It is helping to give my body a break Colette Hope this helps

I am on my 5th month of chelating with ALA alone (I had a bad time with DMSA) and it makes me very irritable at times. I am trying DMSA in low doses along with the ALA to try and control the side effects. best regards RObert .
Guest guest
the supplement 5-HTP has helped my Hg-poisoned husband tremendously with rage, being easily irritated, and that feeling that " every little thing " pisses him off. Actually, 5-HTP transformed him into a man who is regularly very difficult to live with into a man who is truly tolerant, patient, and not easily angered. I can always tell when he skips a dose, because he turns into " the Incredible Hulk " within 24 hours. 1 per day worked great for a while. Now it takes 2 per day. No chelation yet. > > > Since alot of us have experienced this, does anybody know exactly > what it is? Is it yeast or mercury? >
Guest guest
Chelation will help with the anger tremendously....I almost feel back to my normal self. Still have days where I notice my anger but I act on it less. Colette > > > > > > > > > Since alot of us have experienced this, does anybody know exactly > > what it is? Sure, this guy made an inflammatory comment, but I was suddenly consumed with rage and I tore into him with swear words. Oh, it was awful. VERY uncharacteristic of me. It only happened once. (whew!)
