Guest guest
He's up to adding three numbers, in his head, faster than I can. Like 8+9+3. And he's enjoying it. It's PLAY for him! > > What a strange child. > I remember when I bought Enrique some Latin tapes for homeschooling. He did Latin for EIGHT HOURS the first day. I kept having to ask him to go and play with his brother, but he just went back to the Latin. You'd think that would have tipped me off if I had known anything at all about AS. Which I did not. Guest guest
The child has a HIDEOUS time with reading comprehension homework. ALWAYS choosing the wrong title for the little paragraph, never goes back to read the paragraph again for the answers, etc. Getting him to DO his communications homework is sheer torture. Science is worse. He has no idea what they're asking him to do -- and frankly, sometimes neither do I. But the other day, we bought a second-grade math workbook for him because that's his skill level. He looked at it and said, " I'm in grade one, I can't do grade TWO work. " " Yes, you can, " I said. " Just look inside. " That was three days ago. This morning, he turned OFF the playstation and sat there before school happily doing math problems. He's up to adding three numbers, in his head, faster than I can. Like 8+9+3. And he's enjoying it. It's PLAY for him! What a strange child.
