Guest guest
wow that sounds awful. Glad your DH was home to help. I hope things get better soon! Warm Regards & ASD 11/25/00 in Maine Really Long Day again. It was ugly this morning. I'm glad was home or it would have been bad. He was tantrumming, posturing and making agressive motions, yelling, etc. I blocked his path as he went for (a friend) and he tried to go through me. He tried to wrestle me and I ended up putting him on the ground where he tried to bite me. That's when I called for . It was not pretty but since was still home it didn't disintegrate. Later grabbed my arms and tried to stop me from leaving the house because I still wasn't letting him have his way, but by then had cancelled his day and was right there to take care of it. It was a day of divide and manage for the most part. has an appointment tomorrow with a therapist and his psychiatrists office has been notified and has his file all ready to fax to the therapist when we go to the appointment. For afternoon entertainment I did eighteen loads of laundry at the laundromat while sat in the van and played his gameboy. It was the only way to get caught up. I still have to hang up about four loads of hang dry things, and put away the rest, but at least it is clean. I left a message for Chris's teacher, and I guess we will see what tomorrow brings. During all this we missed three appointments today for various things. Oh well. Guess I'll take care of that tomorrow also. I am really glad was home this morning. I could not have handled him. What next?

Guest guest
I'm so glad stayed home for you. That's a good man. Have you considered moving on to lithium? I know docs want to prescribe the other meds first, but lithium is really the BP wonder drug. The risk to the liver and kidneys is not much higher than depakote. I'm so sorry the wonder drugs turned out not to be the miracle they promised to be. :-( Jacquie
Guest guest
Is he at the doses his Dr. wants him on for his meds now, or are they still adjusting them? It sounds like it was the makings of a really ugly day with him :-( This is why I started experimenting with meds for , I just couldn't see me handling him when he got Chris' size. I hope tomorrow is better. Sue
