Jackie,

I'm really sorry I missed your response last month and just saw it as

i was reviewing posts.

I have sent away for ZRT testing for testosterone, estrogen, and

progesterone. So should get results in a few weeks.

i have been tested for food allergies. I came up supposedly allergic

to eggs and milk, but after cutting them out of my diet for over a

month i noticed no difference in symptoms.

I did a therapeutic trial of T3 and cortisol/isocort for a month - no

difference in symptoms except rapid heart rate.

my thyroid levels were always normal.

my adrenal levels 4 years ago were elevated, but taking cortisol did

not help.

I did a blood test for total testosterone - it was 232 and that is

below the normal range...so hopefully the saliva tests will give

enough more data to indicate some sort of treatment.

Thanks for your ideas -

it tested without a doctor through ZRT labs, and you could test just

your testosterone, if you wanted to. They also have symptoms

checklists at their website, so you might want to check that out, if

you haven't already. www.zrtlab.com

a mercury allergy, like Sherratt does? He has found he has to

allergy testing? There may be other things contributing to your

fatigue.--------Jackie

Many people find that their adrenals get worse after they have

chelated for awhile. It may be worth looking into again. And testing

all your hormones might be a good idea, if you haven't done that

recently. You're not going to feel good if these are out of balance.

You can order test kits yourself through the Canary Club.

I did ask one pharmacy (in NY state) about Pregnenalone. They said

they could only find one reference to it in a powder form and that it

is by prescription only.

Do you buy it OTC?

The hormone test I ordered did not include cortisol or DHEA.

After doing more reading about hormones, I think I should test these

as well.

That's ridiculous. I've bought pregnenolone in 2 different

states. One at a chain vitamin store and the other was a local health

food store. Don't bother with the pharamcists.

I did not send in the 3 saliva samples from ZRT labs that I ordered

because I found The Canary Website where you can get a discounted

rate on a whole battery of saliva hormone tests.

I hope ZRT will allow me to return the unused sample vials so that i

can do the complete testing through Canary.

I am very curious to get this done and see if I am low in any of these

hormones.

Thanks again for your help -

because it should be cheaper if you do it all at once, and it would be

best to base treatment on recent testing. There are different things

you do for high or low cortisol, and if DHEA is low, you will probably

benefit from supplementing it. And DHEA is a precursor to

testosterone, and since that is low, it's very likely your DHEA could

be too.------Jackie
