Guest guest
Well everyone just had chemo treatment #11 on Wednesday. She is so excited that she only has one more to go until it's all over with. It's been hard on her as you all know. I probably don't post on here often enough to tell everything, but for those of you who have gone through colon cancer or are the caregivers of someone who has or had colon cancer you know what I mean. It's been quite tough on me too but I maintain as well as I can. The oncologist didn't lower her dosage because of the neuropathy she is going through, he did tell her she needed to take 3 doses of B6 every day to try to help with it. That and the hair loss is probably the hardest part for . I've learned so much from the group and want to encourage anyone who is new to the group to read everything they can in here as it all helps in one way or another. As I learned early in this battle you have to be informed. Don't ever go into the oncologist, gastroenterologist, surgeon or any other doctors office without being informed. And please bring a notebook. If they say something you don't understand question them about it and by all means write it down and do the research. Colon Cancer alone is a pretty scary thing, but the drug treatments can also scare the heck out of you. We'll get through this last treatment and then continue with all of the post treatment testing for how ever long it takes to ensure that it doesn't come back and if it does we'll be on top of it much quicker than the original diagnosis. I thank God every day that I am with and I also thank him for finding this group. And although 's treatments may be coming to an end, I'll still be popping in here to check on everyone. For those of you who are new to this group you can check out everything that went through by visiting her website at http://home.centurytel.net/mariascancer I'll be keeping the website up for anyone who cares to read about her.
