Guest guest
Thanks. The tests you had done through your doctor--were they saliva hormone tests or blood serum hormone tests? I had blood serum hormone tests. An adrenal webgroup says saliva is the only way to find out what you really need to know about your hormone levels. I'm so glad to hear this hormone supplementation is making you feel better. Just like Andy's book said! I really need to know: did you determine your hormone replacement on on the basis of below-range blood levels (as opposed to saliva)? If so, did you feel that info. was sufficient to decide on a good replacement dose? Andy Cutler says in AI that hypoadrenal (and therefore hypoglycemic) women will be > deficient in androgens and will feel better by supplementing androgens. > > He doesn't define androgens. Hi , That would be DHEA and testosterone, as far as I'm aware. Dosages from memory are 25-50mg DHEA for women (but many take less as they can't tolerate more - too much gives breast tenderness), and 1-3mg testosterone each day (but you should have this tested).
