Guest guest
Sue, Where did you live in Illinois? I am from the south suburbs of Chicago orignally. How long have you lived in Florida? I moved to Oklahoma and then to Indiana. I truely enjoyed the short- short winters Oklahoma has. I never even had to use a tank heater for the horses water tanks in OK. Might get a slight sheet of ice on the tanks but just broke it for the horses. Here the water tanks would freeze solid if I did not use a heater. Sure does wonders for the electric bills. Guest guest
I don't move mine. Isn't that why they call them leaves? Maybe it's my spelling. Guest guest
Ingrid: How do the horses do in the cold? My mom in law moves hers from Taos, New Mexico to somewhere south of there where it is warmer. I would want to bring them all inside. LOL that would be, right? The temps are going to drop to the thirty's now as this cold front moves through. Started raining this afternoon too. Nice cold, wet, shivering, nasty, dreary, dull rain. I am not to fond of winter. But it looks like I will be wintering here anyways. Glad my son loves snow so much. Fun to watch him enjoy it. Ingrid > > It was in the 90s today where I live. Guest guest
, My horses do well in the cold. I bring them into the barn when its really nasty out. Of course they all have loafing sheds to get in when they want at any given time. Since we are under the forcast of severe storms. I took the two oldest ones and the baby and got them in the barn. The rest are now locked in the front pasture where they can get into the indoor arena to eat hay. I care and worry about my horses very much. They have shelter from any kind of weather. Yes, If we had the room they would come into the house. LOL Ingrid > > > > It was in the 90s today where I live. My 12 year old son and his > friend > > spent the day at Zuma Beach!
