When you all get too cold, you can come visit me in Florida, begining

I'm with you, Sue....and can't wait to retire and move somewhere where the

Where in FL are you, Sue?? I've traveled all over the coastlines of FL and

still can't make up my mind where I wanna be...and after all the hurricanes,

thinking maybe I should do GA or something...but it's gotta be on the

Hey, Donelle, there's a nice lake or two in Arizona and Nevada where you

Might have to consider this option...LOL

Where I live here in this neighborhood it is very amusing with all

the leaves. These people here go nuts with raking and blowing them in

piles into the street. Heaven forbid there should be a leaf on thier

property. The city comes a couple of times a week with this huge

truck thing that sucks the piles of leaves up. I get so tempted

sometimes to just aim my truck for them piles of leaves and drive

right through them and spread them all over the place. LOL Would have

to do this in the middle of the night so no one knows it me. LOL

Sue, Where did you live in Illinois? I am from the south suburbs of

Chicago orignally.

How long have you lived in Florida?

I moved to Oklahoma and then to Indiana. I truely enjoyed the short-

short winters Oklahoma has. I never even had to use a tank heater for

the horses water tanks in OK. Might get a slight sheet of ice on the

tanks but just broke it for the horses. Here the water tanks would

freeze solid if I did not use a heater. Sure does wonders for the

electric bills. LOL Ingrid

place....lol

I don't move mine. Isn't that why they call them

leaves? Maybe it's my spelling.

I was in soutern Illinois, across river from St Louis,

Belleville/ville area. I have lived in Florida since 1986,

except for 5 years in Nashville, (99-2003) and 1 year back in Ill.

(92)Could not take the cold any longer in 2003, that must have been

the begining of my cancer, only never knew at that time.

How do the horses do in the cold? My mom in law moves hers from Taos, New

Mexico to somewhere south of there where it is warmer. I would want to bring

them all inside. LOL that would be, right?

, I would love to move away from here right now. The temps

are going to drop to the thirty's now as this cold front moves

through. Started raining this afternoon too. Nice cold, wet,

shivering, nasty, dreary, dull rain. I am not to fond of winter. But

it looks like I will be wintering here anyways. Glad my son loves

snow so much. Fun to watch him enjoy it. Ingrid

, My horses do well in the cold. I bring them into the barn

when its really nasty out. Of course they all have loafing sheds to

get in when they want at any given time. Since we are under the

forcast of severe storms. I took the two oldest ones and the baby and

got them in the barn. The rest are now locked in the front pasture

where they can get into the indoor arena to eat hay. I care and worry

about my horses very much. They have shelter from any kind of

weather. Yes, If we had the room they would come into the house. LOL
