Guest guest
Insurance companies/policies are all so different. We were lucky in that ours (a Blue/Cross/Blue Shield MN perferred provider policy thru my employer)covered almost everything, less our small co-pays. I know that many others are not that fortunate. Guest guest
I was given Emend during my erbitux treatment. The pharmacy said it was over $100 a pill. My insurance (medicaid) paid for it at first then wouldn't. I also got a bit queasy when I took it. With my new chemo, so far the only nausea med I can get is compazine which I can not take. The dr.'s office is fighting with them to get zofran($869 a rx) approved but it takes weeks. I have one more month until I am eligible for medicare. Hopefully, in January when the rx coverage starts things will be easier. jane > > > > > Just saw an ad banner for the prevention of nausea > > > and vomiting that > > > lasts for up to 5 days after chemotherapy -- in > > just > > > one dose.
