Guest guest
The general guideline is to take breaks at least as long as the chelation round, and that works for most people. This applies to ALA/DMPS/DMSA, whether used individually or in combination. A minority do tolerate longer rounds and shorter breaks. If you want to learn about the rationale behind the guideline, see Cutler's earlier posts on this here: http://onibasu.com/wiki/Cutler_protocol#Length_of_rounds You'll have to see what works best for you but you may find that the cumulative stress of chelation can creep up on you without realizing it, if you don't have experience with many rounds. Guest guest
Hi , Comments below. > I would like to try increasing the length of round up to a week if I > continue to have few side effects. > > Does that mean I have to take 1 week off before starting again? > > By extension if I chelated for 21 days would I have to take 3 weeks off? -- No. Often is advised to take as many days ON as OFF, but probably this is a very conservative advice useful at the beginning. Once you know how chelation is working for you, you can do more days ON than OFF. People do this when they feel better ON than OFF. Probably is a good idea to be OFF at least for 3 or 4 days when you stop a round. --A. > > I know that with ALA you have to stop every 3 days and rest 3 days, > but i am not sure about dmsa. -- Rounds can be longer, according to AI, ALA & DMSA rounds can be up to 14 days. Some people do even longer rounds. How long you want to be ON very much depends on how well you do. There is a suggested upper bound of 21 days for days ON when on ALA due to possible accumulation of copper and zinc, but it seems that in practice this is not really an issue. Sleep deprivation and the side effects of chelation are what normally limit the length of the rounds. --A > > Thanks, > >
