My entire community (Jewish) knows what I am going through and is there to help me get through it. Where is this man's compassion? Of course, the congregation cares and wants to do everything possible to help him. I cannot believe how much it helps to be among caring friends who have given our family so much help and support. You and Phil need to be open with them about this. This man (council pres) needs to find his purpose in life and maybe another thing to do on Sundays. Gee so sorry to invade your cozy pietistical world with some real world Lamentations!! Heaven Forbid!!! I know I shouldn't let the turkeys get me down, but this just pisses me off!!!! Guest guest
Dear Donelle, I am so happy to always hear from you. Your news are always so warm and reassuring. As it always happen, a little smile escapes from my lips when ever I hear from you. This time, when you've said had you belong to a church... people would bring you dinners and comfort. Sure " dinner " Mainly " dinner " (LOL) so you wouldn't have to cook. I am teasing you. I love you. My prayers for Glen. Narice Oh, Narice....this man needs to be stoned!!! LOL I'm real forgiving, aren't I? Glenn and I have no church community and no one to help us at all... I've often said, " If we belonged to a church like we should, people would be bringing us dinners and giving us some moral support, not to mention spiritual friendship!! But people like your dear mr Council Prez, I can live without...and wish you could, too. I don't blame you one bit for being upset with this man's actions...but what can you do?? Nuttin'....he's not worth fretting over and making yourself sick, so calm down...go get a Paxil and chill out....LOL Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
Guest guest
Hard to believe that this man did not send a prayer up for Phil. Perhaps he is not as christian as he would believe him to be. I think he is the one that is rude and that everyone also may have noticed this. Perhaps Phil would take a few moments out DURING service to say a moment of prayer for him. Guest guest
Narice, I am a stage 4cc and just waiting for god. I wonder, a lot of times, if I should tell people about my illness because it changed any possible human relationship. Most of the time I just tell them on Chemo and that satisfies their curiosity. Some will go on to ask question, like what type of cancer, what are the prognosis, etc. I don't know you or Phil but I already know I like you a lot. I have tremendous respect for you because you are not only a preacher's wife (a hard job) but a caregiver. I think most of Phils audience would have asked the further questions and that is good enough reason for him to include the information. I use to go to a lot of meetings that had nothing to do with religion and 90% of the time I was sitting through stuff that I didn't care to hear. Mr. Impatient should learn to be more understanding. You two get all my respect. Carry on!
