Yes, indeed it is rewarding to do volunteer work. There are many agencies

out there that need volunteers whether to do office work, visit residents at

a nursing home, visit or tend to animals in a shelter, be a ''big brother/big

sister " to someone, etc.

Check out your phone book, newspaper or on the internet.

" I did it and it was well worth it. " :-)

I totally agree with Helen. Volunteering is great! In college I was a

member of a co-ed Greek organization Alpha Phi Omega that was founded on the

basis of volunteering. We had to complete 40 hours of volunteer work per

semester to stay active. It brought us closer together as a group not to

mention we always had fun no matter what we were doing.

Right now I'm working with my church to collect toiletries for our local

Veteran's Hospital in appreciation for what they have given for all of us.

The organizations always appreciate the extra help. One of my volunteer

opportunities turned into a paying job. It is always a rewarding experience
