Guest guest
Barbara, I think you are right about the vents. When I tried liquid O2 the carry unit I had was strictly the unit with a strap. It was not to be used with any sort of bag at all according to the RT that brought the product out (I can't remember the name of the travel unit.) You might try calling your provider and ask about different bags for your helios and be sure to ask about the venting issue. I won't be going to Chatanooga. I don't fair well in the fall and winter there. I used to live in Georgia and my breathing was always at it's worse during those times of year. I'll have to wait till we have another meeting during a warmer time. 34 FL IFP dx 1/06 > > > > I'm wondering if any of our female members have found an attractive carry case for the Helios....one that works as a purse as well as a tank-carrier. > > > > B > > >
Guest guest
Sher: That DOES look promising. I take it there was no problem with the cylinder being in an unvented enclosure? That sure would beat having to use that unwieldy backpack provided by the oxy carrier, along with a purse. I will pray for you to have an amazingly easy move... I have searched high and low for anything different than the standard UGLY, uncomfortable, difunctional bags the oxygen provider delivers. I came out empty handed. I'm in the process of designing my own bag for the "B" tanks. If it works out just might apply for a patent so I can sell them to O2 provders. Guest guest
B....I didn't mention that with the cannula coming out the bag is not totally zipped up. I left the zipper down a bit more and didn't worry about 'venting'. I went back and looked again and I'm thinking about getting another. Remember to zoom in and see that outside pocket/flap can be different on each bag. Too bad it doesn't show inside, lots of little pockets for stuff. I want to stay away from pack for O2 plus a dang purse. I do remember that it was a bit difficult when my cell rang...I had to bring bag around where I could reach it...arthritis makes that difficult but probably wouldn't bother anyone w/o arthritis.
