Guest guest
Hi gang. Just a note to say I had my first infusion yesterday afternoon. It was a longggggg day in hospital 8am till 4:30pm. Still hate those PFT's. Told pulmodoc, guy who invented that machine is a sadist. I gave enough blood to feed Dracula, his kids, and grandbats for yrs. They took 12 vials at 8:30 2 more at 1pm and the last 2 at 4pm. Ten minutes into infusion pulmodoc walks in and says " You're still alive, that's a good sign " I couldn't answer cause I had thermometer in my mouth. He had a smile from ear to ear and shook my hand and congratulated me. Also signed up for DNA testing for markers. Give more blood next 2 weeks. All in all time went pretty quick. My wife was with me through everything and she knows now why we love the PFT. She gave me strength. Very tired when I got home only to have message my cousin passed away. After I came home from that I got the chills, temp went up to 100.9 and was very weak. They did warn me that could happen. I went to work today but was dragging my butt all day. Am going to have a glass or 2 of wine and crash. I dont post much but read everyday so sorry for rambling. Merf 61 IPF
