Guest guest
Try: Remembering Grandad Sheila Isherwood, Kate Isherwood (Illustrator) Its available from Amazon - I saw a copy in a bookshop and thought it looked very good. There are also links you can follow from the page below to other related books. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0192723685/o/qid=1000668359/sr=2-1/ref=\ sr_sp_bow_1_1/202-7949168-1635835 http://www.foxstitch.co.uk/ Lonnie Fletcher wrote: > Does anyone know if there is a book suitable for young children that helps you explaining death?? Guest guest
Lonnie Sue Varley's " Badger's Gifts " is good for probably 5ish year olds; Hans Wilhelm " I'll Always Love You " probably also that sort of age tho maybe younger; Jean Little " Mama's Going to Buy you a Mockingbird " There's also a book called 'Helping a Child Come to Terms with Grief' by Rosemary Wells (Sheldon Press, 0 85969 559 ) which should be in the library - in a series of problem solving books; will have a look in my list and get back as well (I think Dorothy in Babies Need Books covers it quite well tho hasn't been revised since 1995) Haven't yet had time to look at the websites Caroline P (I think) posted, has anyone else?
