Guest guest
Merry I had a girl poke and miss eight times trying in my wrist. Then she said the problem was I was too tense. You miss my artery with that needle eight times and expect me to be relaxed? Now she then went to the inside of the elbow and had no problem. Except, mine was suppose to be under stress and by that point the stress from the treadmill was long long gone. So the test was useless. I didn't repeat it. > > How often do you all have these done? Guest guest
While I was at National Jewish, I had one nurse do the ABG the first day and she was great... got it on the first try. When I went to do the exercise testing later that week, it took two nurses, multiple pokes on two wrists and they were unsuccessful. Oh well. I have ALWAYS been difficult that way. My mom (retired RN) says it is because I am overweight... the nurse said it is because my artery is well protected in my wrist structure. She said some people are just that way.
