Sorry all the references to " Roster virus " should read " Zoster virus " . I was in considerable discomfort at the time of the post. Feeling better now. Did a bunch of broad spectrum minerals, ate raisins and sunflowers seeds last night (copper), exited round seven of my DMPS chelation one dose early and took a gram of Lysine, which has always helped with my cold sores (oral herpes simplex) in the past. Seemed to do the trick.
Guest guest
TK--- suggestions - try shortening your rounds and see if it helps and or try decreasing dosage, try taking supplements to decrease herpies symptoms, outbreaks. I have found [at times] I have less side effects dosing at 3hr intervals with dmps. From what I have read DMPS can increase immune responses. Unless you are really low copper i still don't think this is the probable cause but if you do better with some foods that contain some it isn't going to hurt unless you are high copper. > > Some weeks ago I posted under the subject DMPS side effects. Guest guest
Doug. I'll just suggest that Andy's comments with regard to herpes, is to use lysine and vitamin C. Dave. ------------------ Posted by: " nhdougsimmons " seeheargear@... nhdougsimmons Sun Jun 15, 2008 9:31 pm (PDT) Some weeks ago I posted under the subject DMPS side effects. This thread rambled on a while with many of you responding. One subject of interest to me covered in post 25606, is the ability of DMPS to chelate copper. I wondered, based on references in Andy's book if using DMPS could cause a copper imbalance. After discussing it with TK and and others I was inclined to think not, as they do. However, in light of subsequent experiences I am more inclined to believe that, at least in some cases, it should be expected to cause a mild copper deficiency if not otherwise remedied. In two out of my last three rounds I have had symptoms of the herpes roster virus - better know as shingles. In both cases the symptoms were similar and began towards the end of a five day - fifteen dose round . It has been widely observed that copper in various forms and compounds acts to suppress or inactivate certain viruses, including Herpes simplex and Herpes Roster. Any adult that had chikenpox as a child carries the herpes roster virus (very often in an inactive state). When the virus becomes active you get shingles and or PHN, a shingles related neuralgia. May be just a coincidence but I am inclined to think not There are plenty of abstracts out there that would indicate that copper suppresses or inactivates herpes. And references in AI that indicate that DMPS has been used to reduce copper levels in the body. I am now inclined to believe that normal levels of copper in the cells and blood helps keep herpes down, that DMPS does chelate copper and that the combination can cause an upswing in herpes roster activity. " Mechanism of Copper-Mediated Inactivation of Herpes Simplex Virus JOSE-LUIS SAGRIPANTI,* LICIA B. ROUTSON, AYLIN C. BONIFACINO, AND C. DAVID LYTLE " Previous reports on inactivation of herpesvirus, arenavirus, and human immunodeficiency virus (26€ ¦’¶28), together with advances in current knowledge of the interaction of copper with biomolecules, justified this study to explore the potential of copper-based formulations for the treatment of HSV infection. Thanks for reading my post. Doug
Guest guest
I see Andy suggesting 2gms, so you might even take more, if needed. Perhaps a repeat hair test now would help you to get a feel for where your copper levels are at.
Guest guest
I think your problems can simply be caused by DMPS starting to clear the mercury that is suppressing immune function. You would expect to have some fluctuations in immune-related symptoms if this is one of the problems mercury is causing, and it is for many if not most of us. As the immune system becomes more functional, your body would start to fight latent infections. Most likely it will not be fully up to speed until you make more progress with chelation. Until then, you will need to support it. As Dave already mentioned, lysine and vitamin C are good for herpes viruses. If the infection is shingles, I suggest searching onibasu, since I believe Andy has given specific advice about how to address it. --
