Guest guest
Hi, just wondering if anybody knows how significant mercury levels are in these fish? Some say they are the lowest in mercury, therefore should be ok to consume. I had some salmon the other day out of a can (from alaska) and I admit I had coffee at that time too, so I don't know what to attribute my symptoms too exactly. But I felt very bad the next day. Drugged. I'm still suffering and often feel like going to sleep. I also went paler in the face. I'm still waiting for this to subside and hope it does soon. Each day I keep wanting to lie down and go to sleep. It's been about 4-5 days now. It could have been the coffees I had, but I wonder too about the canned salmon. anybody else experience this? I admit I am hypersensitive to mercury, even at levels most other people are tolerant of, plus don't tend to respond well to coffee either. So it's quite possible it was either or both. But just wonder what other people think. Cheers.

And my understanding is that the small fish like sardines are supposed to be lower in mercury, and that wild Alaskan salmon is much better than the farm raised stuff.--------Jackie The big fish like tuna, shark, and swordfish are usually much higher in mercury, because they eat all the smaller fish with mercury in them.-------Jackie I had some salmon the other day out of a can (from alaska) and I admit I had coffee at that time too, so I don't know what to attribute my symptoms too exactly. So this will have to be a personal decision on your part. If you test it again, only eat a small amount, and see what happens.----------Jackie Cheers.
