Narice,

I'm so glad they figured out what was going on. At least now they have a plan

of action to get him back on his feet. I'm sure you're much relieved too. I've

been concerned for both of you and been saying extra prayers for the docs to get

to the bottom of all this.

They have determined that the Erbitux which was the new chemo severely

lowered Phil's blood counts and dehydrated him (even though he was drinking a

lot!). This led to the infection. They are unsure the location of the infection

but did say it was not anything major. The antibiotic kicked in last night and

there's been no fever since last night.

They are doing a blood tranfusion over night to start boosting the blood

counts.

As things are looking he should be feeling much better by tomorrow or

Thursday

Then we can figure out what to do from there.

Narice, I am so sorry that Phil had gotten so sick. I am hoping and

Praying that they have gotten it all under control. Hopefully there

will be lots of improvements quickly. You both are in my constant

Prayers. Love, Ingrid

praying for you guys. much love, hugs and prayers -- donna
