Happy New Year to you and Mike,

Too early to know what is going on for Matt but I have certainly

worried that the surgery kind of unleashed things. I'll try to keep

an eye open for this sort of info as I look around on the Internet.

I suppose we could try to collect some anonymous data here in the

files on what happens in this group. It seems the surgery usually

comes first due to the danger of obstruction in the colon. Was that

the case with Mike? I am sorry to hear of his liver mets, it is

perhaps impossible to know whether they escaped scrutiny on the CT

scan. Matt had a second polyp in his colon which did not show up on

the CT, made itself slightly apparent in the Barium Enema and was

found and removed (along with that section of colon) in the

colonoscopy that immediately preceeded his op to remove the tumour.

Without multiple tests it would have been missed.

Hoping for successful treatment for Mike.

Take care, Fran
