A question for you wise ones (and especially Ruthie!)

My daughter has lovely, very long, thick hair that she has decided she would

like cut. She wants a minimum 12inches cut off. It seems a shame to then

throw it away! Would anyone - wigmakers presumably - be interested in having

her hair and how would one go about it?

I have waited for this day for years - and she is serious - even looking up

hairdressers in the phonebook herself!!!

in anticipation

I had my waist-long plaits cut when I was 12, the hairdresser offered

my Mum the princely sum of 50p for them (1977) I thought I was rich,

(I thought he meant £50)! My short hair then bounced up into curls

which I hated - I was a real " tom-boy " then, but my Mum loved it!

I think wig makers would jump at it, Sue.

maybe 12 inches is a *bit* short ,but I'm sure they could do something

with it.

Especially if it is an unusual colour, but I am sure it is desirable

anyway.

If she is having it cut, make sure they cut as much as possible in one

lop ,ie not layered, to get the maximum hair, keep it tied up and if

you want, I will give you some numbers to contact.
