Questions for Mr. Cutler

Dear Mr. Cutler,

Would you be so kind to answer the following two questions for me?

I'd really appreciate it.

I want to add DMSA to my chelation routine but the problem is I

can't afford it. But now I found several manufacturers in China and

I bet their prices are very low. Maybe I could convince them to sell

me a pound or two (importing it shouldn't be a problem since I know

an individual who owns a pharmacy and is prepared to do me a favor).

But there is one thing I'm concerned about. Like I said, the

manufacturers are located in China which makes me wonder about the

quality of the products. I'm worried they might be contaminated with

dangerous substances. What do you think, is my concern justified? I

understand this is a hard question since you don't have a look into

their manufacturing techniques. Maybe I should ask in another way.

What would you do if you were in my position, would you buy it or

not?

And here is my second question. Whenever I take ALA I get this

horrible heartburn. But now I learned how to fix the problem by

taking baking soda or some other acid buffer at the same time. But

is this okay? Don't acid buffers alter the molecular structure of

ALA and DMSA destroying their chelation properties? These two are

acids after all.
