Guest guest
tomatoes can have their own set of problems and i am not sure if its cause they are night shades or what... i do not think they are sulphur though; I believe cucumbers are as they would affect me when i was having sulphur problems but some sulphur food sites say they are sulphur and some say they are not?? I believe peanuts are sulphur as moderator informed me that they are legumes not nuts..other nuts are Ok However if you have the money you may want to have a foods allergy tests done. it was very informative for me... showed eggs and almonds as being very bad and this was what i was living on. I switched to cashew butter are > > I am getting ready to start a sulfer exculsion diet. Guest guest
A month and a half after finally figuring out I'd do much better on a sulfur-free diet, I still was eating foods high in salycilates, like olives, berries and tomatoes. I kept wondering why on earth I couldn't just start to feel better already! Even with my HC--the HC didn't seem to help no matter how much I took as long as I was having a reaction to food. Now it's clear to me that olives (which sent me into the worst reaction ever for about 16 hours yesterday) are among the other foods I should definitely not eat. They're not a sulfur food, and they're easy to snack, so I just kept taking them and kept getting super-low energy afterwards. Moral of the Story: Once I finally put two and two together, I realized the importance of doing a trial on nothing but extremely safe foods. If you want to know whether sulfur foods are giving you a bad reaction, yet you eat non- sulfur foods that are high in salycilates (ie, berries, olives, tomatoes), not knowing that these salycilate foods may also be a problem, you could really confuse yourself and make it harder to determine what you're reacting to. Andy's book has a list of extremely safe foods to do the trial on. > > I am getting ready to start a sulfer exculsion diet. Guest guest
I agree with , i have to follow Fiengold too. I would try sulfur first then sulfur fiengold and see how you feel. There is a list in the file section for both....I hope not, because then tomatoes, almonds and cucumbers are no- nos on the fiengold... colette
