Guest guest
Yes our county here has cancelled all flu clinics. After all I have read that there would be plenty available this year I guess there is not. I am going to my own Dr to get mine and do hope he has some. I know last year he saved me one:) Hil Flu shots Are any of you finding it difficult to get a flu shot this year? nancy j
Guest guest
J, the hospital here had a " drive through " flu shot last Thursday, from 7 am to 5:30 pm, but they ran out before noon. I hope you can get your flu shot somewhere else, without driving 200 miles. They might run out of it before you could get there. Take care. Wishing you luck! ~Deb from KS wrote: If unsuccessful, I will have to make another 200 mile round trip to go through one of those 'drive through' shot things at a WalMart I guess. I know I would not live through getting the flu. I can lose 10 lbs in 48 hours now if I don't eat around the clock. So I cannot imagine what would happen if I had the flu. nancy j wish me luck!!! --------------------------------- Yahoo! FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
It just really irritates me that all year they have said there would be more then enough vaccine for this year. Now we find there is not! Hil
Guest guest
On the front page of our local paper tonight is a article that states more then half of the Drs in New York State have received none or less then a quarter of the flu vaccine they ordered months ago. Reading the posts on this list it seems only me and were having a problem. Seems here they don't have a answer of why they did not get it. I spent the afternoon at the local ER and never thought to ask them if they had any vaccine. I got a small scratch on my leg that was not even deep and it has turned into a serious leg infection. I don't know from being a diabetic or the blockage in my leg arteries. Weird as I seem to have no problem with slow healing. I have to see my own Dr on Monday unless this is worse tomorrow and hope he does have the vaccine and can still give it to me with this infection. I did not go to bed until 6 am this morning sitting here worrying about the swelling, redness and pain in my leg which went down to my ankle and foot. Only people on this list would understand but do you know how many times I wondered Cancer? I had a friend whose husband died of leg cancer. It is so terrible to be parinoid like this. Of course I did not ask them at ER if it was cancer or they may have thought I was a mental patient. Hil

Guest guest
I just read a ad where a new Drugstore having their grand opening is giving them here tomorrow. They are charging 30.00 for Flu and 43.00 for pneumonia. The only insurance card they will take is medicare. Mine was no cost at the Dr office. I don't understand why three of the drug chains and Wal Mart have the vaccine and our county health dept and most Dr office can't get it. Hil flu shots I am so sick and tired of trying to get a flu shot. Now the doctors here are being put off until November 22 for vaccine. It hasn't even been shipped out yet!!! What is going on? The Health department doesn't have it, the doctors, none of the health care workers have had their shots. We are just absolutely asking for an epidemic here in this area and I am so disgusted. Oh, they are giving them tomorrow at the local WalMart but I have to be given the shot with a 'short' needle because if they don't, they hit bone. nancy j *venting again*
