Narice,

When things are calm and he's not being too touchy or sensitive, talk to him

about it. He really may not even realize he's doing it. I catch myself being

that way sometimes too. I don't think it's the chemo as much as I just feel bad

and I'm scared and the closest ones are the most convenient and safe to let

loose on. It's not fair, but I don't think it's really unusual. For myself,

when I realize I'm doing it or have done it, I immediately apologize and tell

him I can't promise I won't do it again, but I'll try to be more aware of how

I'm acting, especially when I'm feeling bad.

Does anyone find that chemo makes them agitated or argumentative?

Lately I feel like everything I say to Phil is taken the wrong way and

little stuff drives him crazy. I'm trying but sometimes I feel like I'm the

scapegoat for all the stuff the cancer and chemo makes him feel. I am trying to

understand and I know it is hard but well it still hurts.

Now the bigger question what have you done about it?.

Narice, My husband told me that I would be crabby during infusion

days.

Do you think the Phil may be masking anger . Could this be on the

chemo days when he is most reminded of this cancer?

My husband just stayed away from me on my crabby days. LOL Love,

Ingrid

Oh Marty you are hysterical! Hope you don't feel too nasty!!

Chemo is nasty and even though I can see the suffering at times I really

can't even imagine what you all go through. I try to remember that and most of

the time I succeed but yesterday I just lost my patience with it. Happens to

all of us I guess.

Don't worry Cliff if he gets too out of hand I'll use a frying pan LOL

He came home and slept something like 18 hours so there's the answer but

still discussing it with the doctor.

My opinion is that the chemo is making him feel cruddy. When you

I'd try to put a little distance between the crab and yourself.

Also, don't let him get away with it. ;-)

I went to a Sukkot dinner on Monday night (a Jewish holiday that celebrates,

among other things, the harvest). It was kosher of course but you have no

idea how delicious kosher can be. Someone used the Barefoot Contessa's

crabcake recipe but substituted imitation crabmeat (which is a fish and alot

less

expensive). They were so good.

My friends and I were so disappointed when we went to this new restaurant in

town called the Blue Crab. Went there hoping to get some good crab legs and

the closest thing to crab they had were crab cakes. A bit pricey too. Is

just a bar really. Have to huge long bars with TVs etc. A GI hang out with

pool tables. We won't go there again. Jolene

Re: Re: Hate to ask this but....
