DMSA safety in the news

News blurbs from Sept 18-19 regarding the U.S. National Institutes of

Health's cancelation of their proposed study on DMSA treatment for

autism indicate that although DMSA may be helpful for lead poisoning,

it may cause cognitive problems in the absence of lead, based on a rat

study.

Does anyone know Andy's take on this? He certainly emphasizes ALA

over DMSA / DMPS.

Andy commented on this recently in the autism mercury group. Look in

Andy commented on this recently in the autism mercury group. Look in

the " Andy's posts, new folder, 2008 " in the links section here and

search autism-mercury for his comments.
