Guest guest
Hi, Welcome to our group. I am so sorry that I hve no answers to your questions. Hopefully someone will soon read your post and know something. I was wondering if you have taken your Father-in-Law to get another doctors opinion? I would think this would be a good idea. Hope you get some answers. Ingrid > > I joined this group because I'm helping my FIL find his way through > this process. Guest guest
You might want to ask about a Fentanyl (sp?) patch if the pain is really bad. She has been fighting this thing for months and nothing seems to get rid of it. They are prolonging surgery now because of it, they say they don;t need to cut on her with this infection so bad. She's been taking daily IV therphy at home for 2 weeks now and they just ordered 2 more weeks of it so this stuff is tough.... I don't know if this is an option for your FIL or not but it might be worth asking about. Mother's burning is unbearable at time and she is on morphine AND percaset around the clock for it, and it still just knocks the edge off of it.I hope this is of some help. I havent found alot of people who have suffered this that mom has so I only know what I have been told by the Dr's.He did say that of corse the cancer makes it alot worse. Hope it helps and I'll pray for your FIL... Hugs.....Lynne > > I joined this group because I'm helping my FIL find his way through > this process. Guest guest
Lynne, I was just curious but from what I understand most yeast infections can occur from antibotics, I'm suprised that they are treating it that way. What kind of yeast is it?
Guest guest
Hi Tersea , They did say that alot of it was from the antibotics but she was experiencing this before the antibotics. The infection they said is called " Candita Krusei " Its not treated well with the diflucan. they tried that.I did a little research on it and I found alot out about the candita but not a whole lot about the candita krusei I hope all is well with you ....Hugs Lynne > > Lynne, > I was just curious but from what I understand most yeast infections can occur > from antibotics, I'm suprised that they are treating it that way.
