Guest guest
Now that I finished the chemo-torture-poison marathonm I started the training today for my NEXT marathon...a REAL one... I know that, in reality, it's a bit too early, but my spirit really needed to get out on the road again. I have not run since October 1m just haven't felt up to it. Today, I did my radio show and dragged my sorry bones out onto the street for Day One of my next marathon training program. Managed to squeeze out 2.5 miles, but the numbe legs (up to the hips now) REALLY made it rough. I don't have control of my leg muscles anymore, and they feel like lead weights...but I did it, anyway. I felt pretty OK for the first 1.8 miles, but the rest was a death march. Really stagered into my driveway and collapsed on the ground... But it still felt great .. (even wearing the idiotic truss to hold my guts in until I have the hernia repair operation in 6 weeks--next trauma) Keep the faith and hope, guys... Marty p.s. Here's my first show (today) after the completion of the chemo: http://www.israelnewsradio.net/rabin.html M
