Guest guest
I just spoke with marion at falls pharmacy and she says new filler is Avicel which is plant based cellulose and is supposed to be less reactive with dmps and other chemicals than vitamin C-citrus which they were using before I am not 100% sure that it is reaction-less with me..does anyone know if Avicel could have salicyclate's in it it seems to make me more tired > > > The old DMPS from Falls that I am finishing up is in capsules with > > FOS as the filler, and has a slightly rank, slightly sulphury > > taste -- not sharp or citrus-like. > > > > Falls by default now uses some sort of cellulose as a filler, which > > they explained is usually the best choice; this is what I plan to get. >

He said it is was safe to use as a filler. That doesn't mean you are not reacting to it, but it is largely inert. That said, whenever I order I chose Vit C only as a filler with DMSA and Magnesium only as a filler with ALA (just to lower the load of any filler, and I can take large amounts of those vitamins, as you take some with each dose of chelator). You can see we have added more options, and the pharmacist is quite prepared to mix up any combination of ALA and DMSA now : www.livingnetwork.co.za/chelation She is looking into compounding DMPS also. What do others pay for DMPS per capsule in the USA and would you be able to order it into the USA without a prescription from oversees (as I don't think we need one here)? I said I would check and see if it would be worth her while to set up this service. DeanSA
Guest guest
wow thats real exciting news Dean. I think I will go back to the Vitamin C filler after this as The Avicel just doesn't feel as good..I realize as " beigetable " just posted, it may actually be better but there is that " gut feel " that my body is saying no no no..its as " beigetable " suggested almost a sulphury smell/taste and Falls said there is no sulphur in Avicel..so maybe the vitamin c just masks it better for me I take magnesium citrate (160 mgs) with each dmps dosage and 100 mgs Garapentin every 8 hours when chelating. JUlei Andersosn siad this would help with the nerve burning when cjhelating and I think it does. I take about 8 grams of vitamin C through the day and another 8 grams of magnesium in powder form MY understanding is that there is some worldwide shortgage of dmps manufacturing . Thats why the pricing has doubled or worse in last 6 months. I think its a cartel of some sorts and do not know if it relates to licensing or what. BUT my understanding is there are only two manufacturing centers in the North America, one in Montreal and one i believe in Texas I pay $90 (though insurance for 90 tablets of 40 mgs each. I think its over $300 without insurance. I found these capsule sizes were the most economical to order and I am at 20 mgs every 3-4 hours I think it would be a godsend to people if they could order it from outside the US without a prescription. It seems people in Europe and UK cannot get it period. My understanding is the border gestapo of each country might block it. The US I belive is pretty liberal with what supplements/meds they will allow in, but my guess is since its a prescription med, at some point it may become an issue but I do not think it is now. I know the Drug companies are trying to block Canadian drugs (which are cheaper) from getting into the US , but so far I think its still going on -------------------------------------------------------------------- from Dean SA ------------------------------------------------------------------- > Hi , > When we were setting up the compounding of DMSA and ALA here in SA, > I asked Andy about the safety of Avicel. > He said it is was safe to use as a filler. > That doesn't mean you are not reacting to it, but it is largely > inert. > That said, whenever I order I chose Vit C only as a filler with > DMSA and Magnesium only as a filler with ALA (just to lower the > load of any filler, and I can take large amounts of those > vitamins, as you take some with each dose of chelator). > You can see we have added more options, and the pharmacist is quite > prepared to mix up any combination of ALA and DMSA now : > www.livingnetwork.co.za/chelation > She is looking into compounding DMPS also. > What do others pay for DMPS per capsule in the USA and would you be > able to order it into the USA without a prescription from oversees > (as I don't think we need one here)? > I said I would check and see if it would be worth her while to set > up this service. > DeanSA >
