Guest guest
Hi > I am chelating with 12.5mg each of DMSA and ALA. I started during the summer, having done ca. 45 rounds of DMSA alone to reduce body burden. Each AL / DMSA round is hard, and the redistribution was horrid to begin with, but it is getting better now. Encouragingly, I feel much better in my head after introducing the ALA - clearer, not so fluey, generally better. I am going to push on at this dose, but not increase it for a while. You also started ALA recently, didn't you? What doses are you taking? Do you feel any better? I suspect we're both going to be at this for a long time ... You and I will be chelating for some time..... > You also started ALA recently, didn't you? What doses are you > taking? I'm using 12.5 mg ALA every 3 h, and 25 mg DMPS every 6 h. > Do you feel any better? I don't get the horrid end of round side effects like I used to with the DMPS, even at 50 mg doses. Initially I could only tolerate 5 mg doses of ALA, and I couldn't make it through rounds without missing doses. Now the 12.5 mg rounds of ALA go fine. I am tired and ready to stop by the third day. As far as my general condition, I worsened because of pain of unknown cause and a heat stroke, that wasn't related to chelation. Those are the two things that I haven't recovered from and that really limit me. Chelation is my only hope to get better. I believe that if I hadn't removed my amalgams, found the support of supplements and medications, and started chelating I would really be in a hopeless situation. I shudder to think of it.
