Guest guest
Hi Jane: I live in Calabasas, California, about one hour south of Santa Barbara. My oncologist is in Santa which is another 45 minutes south of me (with traffic). He is excellent, however. His name is Lee Rosen and he is cutting edge with our disease. He and Heinz Lenz at USC are the 2 more prominent oncologists for stage 4 cc. Lee Rosen's office is filled with people from other states who fly in for his clinical trials. USC is another hour and a half from my house, so I chose Santa . I have to run out now but I am happy to talk more with you about your move later. We love Santa Barbara -- you are lucky to get to live there. > > I am thinking of moving to the Santa Barbara area of California to be > near family. Guest guest
Thanks for all the info so far. Several from this list and from the duodenal cancer list have mentioned Dr. Lenz. He is a colleague of Dr. Parekh who is a leader in duodenal cancer so it looks like I may be headed in the right direction going to USC. It is a beautiful but expensive area out there. I have lived there before for about a year. I camped with my kids on Morro Bay and in the mountains. I have other family there so it may work out well. Just have to sell everything I own and convince my almost 18yo to get a plan for her life. Thanks again for the great info. Thank you Narice for taking the time to forward my letter. Even with all you are going thru you still take the time to help. God Bless you. Jane > > > > I am thinking of moving to the Santa Barbara area of California to be > > near family.
