It's hard to say. The DMSA could have driven some of the body burden

to deep tissues leading to more normal mineral transport. I don't

know if 3 months is long enough to do that. The hair test will likely

give you some information.

If you were getting side effects with the DMSA, then you already know

that toxicity is a problem.
