Hi -I don't mean to disagree with your doctor, but the action of

cholestyramineis not as you describe (this from Shoemaker's books).

Cholestyramine worksonly in the gut -- it does not get into the cells (is not

absorbed) and doesnothing to get rid of Lyme. It just helps some people who

don't have theability to detoxify some types of toxins get rid of them. It's an

oldcholesterol lowering medicine that absorbs bile in the gut and carries itout

with the stool. Bile carries some toxins from the liver, and by CSMabsorbing

bile, the bile (and toxins) do not get reabsorbed. Believe it ornot, the body

really values cholesterol and so has a method of conserving itby reabsorption in

the gut after it has helped with fat digestion. If you have the genetic defect

that makes you unable to detoxify certainneurotoxins (and you still have Lyme),

CSM would probably help with herxingand generally make you feel a lot better,

but I don't believe it would haveany effect in the chelation process. Best,Dana

undergoing lymes treatment by moronic docs who blew out my liver with

antibiotics. I was given actos/cholestyramine (treatment perfected by Dr

Shoemaker..lyme dr). My understanding from DR was that actos opened up the cells

to allowcholestyramine to get into the cell and mop up the lyme bacteria...So my

question is would combining a lyme protocol that got into the cells to mop up

bad stuff (actos//cholestyramine for lymes and maybe other bacteria which is

being released from chelation) and then ALA for the mercury) be worthwhile to do

together...would actos help facilitate opening the " cell door " which was how my

DR explained it by allowing more ALA to get into the cells,___ [Non-text
